Lucien Labaudt ( 1880 - 1943 )
Fresco I introduces a series of garments that bridge the structure of tailoring with the ease of everyday wear. Inspired by the early murals of Lucien Labaudt, particularly his work at San Francisco’s Beach Chalet – each piece reflects a scene from San Francisco life, reinterpreted through refined materials, focused fit, and the expressive possibilities of color.
Labaudt clothed his figures with the same care he gave his composition – placing warm tones beside cool, and elegance within the ordinary. Like his murals, this collection is revealed in a mini-series: each new style introduced alongside a moment from the Beach Chalet mural that echoes its spirit, setting, or function. From the waterfront to the working day, these garments are designed to move with you, seasonally and seamlessly.
The first in this ongoing summer series Introduces the Henry Work Jacket—a tailored interpretation of a classic utility garment. Available Made-to-Measure.
